Robots That Vacuum and Mop
Robots that vacuum and mop provide the convenience of removing dry debris (dust dirt) and wet messes (spills, stains) in one session without having to swap out devices. They can also help save storage space compared to having two separate units, particularly in smaller living spaces.
A good combination bot will be able to navigate well and have excellent obstacles avoidance. Look for models with docks that let them automatically empty their bins, replenish their water tanks, and wash the mopping pads.
1. Eufy S1 Pro
It has plenty to offer at a affordable price and is among the easiest robots we've tested to install. Unpacking is easy and the quick-start manual gets you running in no time. It comes with an entire dust bag, water tank, and a hard floor solution.
The S1 Pro is an incredibly powerful machine that can vacuum and mop well. The mops are spun at high speed and use 2.2 pounds (1kg of force) to get rid of pet hair, dirt and sticky dried spills. The vacuum has four power modes, a range of brushes and attachments and an intuitive app that lets you select the type of cleaning you'd like for each room.
For instance, you can, ask the robot to clean the kitchen and living room thoroughly but leave the spare bedroom alone. The S1 Pro's front colision sensors and smart navigation technology are superb as the robot is capable of detecting small obstacles that other models struggle with. The only problem is that the robot is known to smash into walls and objects at full speed. However, a quick look at the cleaning history on the app will show you precisely what the robot has completed, where it's moving, and what obstacles it has encountered or avoided.
The docking station features an LCD display that indicates the need for maintenance, such as emptying debris and cleaning the water tank that is dirty. It also mixes detergent into the tank by itself, using a 600ml eufy solution.
Both the S1 Pro mop and vacuum have a long running time. The mop can operate for 184 mins in Quiet Mode and the vacuum can last for 136 minutes in normal mode, prior to having to recharge or returning to the base. You can also view the entire cleaning information in the app, which is intuitively laid out and easy to understand although we would have liked to be able distinguish between a mop only vacuum and mop and vacuum clean when examining a cleaned area in the history of cleaning.
2. Roborock S8 Pro Ultra
The Roborock S8 Pro Ultra, the latest version of Roborock's flagship robot vacuum and mop, is the most recent version. In contrast to the model of last year, this one features an agitator that doubles in its mopping pad which greatly improves carpet cleaning abilities. The S8 Pro Ultra has an improved suction power that enables it to pick up finer hairs and other debris other robotic cleaners may miss.
The Roborock model, like the other two I tried is equipped with infrared and 3D obstacle avoidance technology to help it get around obstacles like furniture, walls and other obstacles. However, the S8 Pro Ultra takes things one step further by having a dual camera that can detect objects and decide whether they are an object that is a wall or a different surface. It will then automatically alter its direction and clean the objects without a pause.
It's the most expensive model I've tried, but it also has the most features. Its sleek and angular design is eye-catching and it has only three physical buttons: the power button, which can also restart cleaning; a mop button that doubles as a child lock and a home button that can bring the robot back to its dock. The hinged lid can be opened to reveal a 350ml trash bin and 200ml of water tank. The water tank is automatically filled and the bin fills up automatically.
The only negative I discovered with this model was that its VibraRise mop pad mount isn't removable. You can replace the mopping cloth when required, but it's not easy to take the mount off for washing manually. I've found that any plush carpet that the robot touches will come into contact with the rough Velcro-like fastener system on the mount, which can cause scratches.
The S8 Pro Ultra is equipped with a range of clever features, including support for Google Home and Amazon Alexa. The Roborock app is where you can manage and configure these smart features. It also includes maps and advanced mopping options. The app lets you schedule cleanings and track battery life. However, you'll need to jump through a few hurdles to enable voice control with this model which is unfortunate considering the quality of its performance.
3. Dreame X40
The Dreame X40 is an industry-leading robot vacuum and mop that has outstanding suction power, advanced mowing capabilities, and ingenuity features. Its innovative design allows for personalized and efficient cleaning, while reducing time.
The X40 is the first robotic vacuum cleaner to deliver 12,000 Pascals of cleaning power, which makes it one of the top alternatives available. This powerful vacuum cleans up the dry mess, which includes pet hair and dust. It has a mop of high quality that cleans hard floors without the use of pads. Additionally, the X40 is quiet in it's operation, producing only occasional squeaks of sound when switching modes or completing self-maintenance tasks.
The X40 has a side brush that can be lifted and extended. This lets it reach into corners that are difficult to reach and clean curved furniture such as table and chair legs. The robot is also able to reach under furniture that is low-profile, making it an excellent option for apartments with small spaces or condos. The side brush automatically tilts down when it detects wet spots. This is a wonderful feature that enables the X40 to prevent damage to floors from the frequent back-and-forth movement.
Unlike some other robots that solely focus on one task, the X40 is capable of performing both vacuuming and mopping at the same time or separately. It can also be programmed to skip areas with carpets and mop only hard floors or reverse the process. It can be controlled via the Dreame App or Alexa, Siri, or Google Home to ensure that voice-controlled operations are smooth and easy.
The app is easy to use and understand, and the X40 is equipped with many clever features that are simple to install. Users can program the X40 to clean at specific times, alter suction power and mode, see floor plans and maps, and manage mopping settings. The X40 will also track its progress, and alert you when it's done.
The X40 is easy to clean and has numerous convenient features, making it a perfect option for busy families. The docking station will automatically empty the dustbin and wash mop pads before refilling them with fresh cleaning solution and water. Best robot vacuum uk can also detect when the mop pad is full and alert you before it gets overflowing, reducing the necessity for manual maintenance.
4. L20 Ultra
The L20 Ultra robot is one of the most expensive models available on the market. However, it has many features that make it stand out. The mops are equipped with a new feature called Smart DuoScrub that makes use of two mops with high-speed motors to scrub floors more thoroughly than the conventional method, and it has the highest suction power of 7,000Pa. This is more than that of the Roborock S8 Pro Ultra or Ecovacs Deebot T20 Omni, and it can clean pet hair and smaller dirt particles - as well as picking up spills and wet spots.

Its mops are also cleaned and dried inside the base station after every use. This is beneficial because it stops mould and unpleasant odours from building up in the storage. It also makes the mop system more efficient. This is a system has yet to be seen on other robot vacuums and mop models and it could be a great way of keeping your home cleaner for longer.
There's an impressive amount of options available which include the possibility to schedule cleaning appointments and adjust a number of different preferences. The app allows you to set these preferences or you can use the buttons on the device itself. The app is easy to use and provides a number of options for customizing your cleaning routine. It also comes with a number of functions that are not available on other robots, like the Clean Genius Mode, which automatically increases suction when it detects any dust particles.
The L20 Ultra has a stylish design that has a white-and-metallic look that looks elegant and elegant. It's a little heavier than the other two-in-1 robots on this list - at 4kg - but it's not obscenely heavy, and it feels sturdy and well-built. The mopping design is also excellent and the double-rotating mops work well on hard floors as well as in corners. They can also extend up to 2mm of baseboards due to the MopExtend feature which is a nice touch.
